Before the stories begin inside Laxson Auditorium, two familiar Chico personalities are helping turn the patio outside into a retro prom party.
Meet Tim Buc Moore and Vianna Boring, part of the fun behind Party on the Patio before Bonfire Storytelling: Bonfire’s Big Night Out Part III: Dance! Dance! Dance! on Sept. 19. 2026.
And both have plenty of Chico stories of their own.
Meet Tim Buc Moore
If you’ve listened to rock radio in Chico, there’s a good chance you already know Tim.
Tim Buc Moore has spent most of his adult life on Chico’s airwaves and currently hosts mornings on 106.7 Z-Rock, where listeners can catch Wake the Buc Up weekdays.His connection to Chico extends beyond the radio studio, with longstanding ties to the community and local arts.In other words, he’s exactly the kind of person you want helping kick off a night devoted to music, stories, dancing and Chico personalities.

Vianna’s connection to Chico’s music and arts scene spans performance, education and community involvement.
A musician and local music teacher, Vianna has helped create opportunities for musicians to perform together in Chico, including collaborative student recitals at the Museum of Northern California Art.
She’s also deeply involved in Chico’s broader arts community. Vianna currently serves as vice chair of the City of Chico Arts Commission, which advises the city on public art, arts funding and efforts to promote Chico as an arts and culture destination.
Her career has taken her well beyond Chico, too, including years spent living and working in the United Kingdom.
Now she’s bringing that eclectic musical perspective back to the patio at Laxson.

Tim and Vianna will help kick off Party on the Patio beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, before Bonfire’s Big Night Out.
This one has a retro prom theme, so consider this your invitation to pull something spectacular out of the back of your closet — or start hunting Chico’s vintage shops for the perfect throwback look.
Expect music, dancing, local food trucks, drinks and plenty of pre-show fun outside Laxson before Dance! Dance! Dance! begins at 7:30 p.m.
The party is free, and dressing up is optional.
