“An exhilarating show that is guaranteed to leave a smile on your face and a spring in your step when leaving the theatre.” - The Public Reviews

Yamato returns to Laxson with their energetic stage performance. Founded in Nara Prefecture, Japan, Yamato has become world ambassadors of the traditional Japanese Wadaiko, or Taiko, drums. The sound of the drums is a pulse or heartbeat (Shin-on), the center of life and the source of power that pulsates within the human body. What one feels when surrounded by the sound of Wadaiko, brought out by these highly trained performers, is what the Japanese call “Tamashy”, translated as soul, spirit, and psyche - the basic elements of life.
