“Like beautiful messages from another world.” - BBC Radio
Brought up on North Uist in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, Julie Fowlis is a proud standard bearer for Gaelic music and culture. She was awarded Gaelic Singer of the Year & Album of the Year (twice) at the Scots Trad Music Awards and in 2008 became Scotland’s first Gaelic Ambassador- ‘Tosgaire na Gàidhlig’. Students will recognize her proud Scottish voice singing the theme song on Disney Pixar’s Brave. Ms. Fowlis and band gift students with what the BBC Radio describes as, “beautiful messages from another world.”
