DESCRIPTION:Laxson Auditorium patio area \n\n\n\nKick off the evening with Lorna Such and Her Band\, a talented lineup of Chico-area musicians bringing a soulful mix of groove\, jazz and original music to Party on the Patio. \n\n\n\nChico local and Chico State alum Lorna Such is an award-winning vocalist\, instrumentalist and songwriter known as the lead singer of neo-soul/groove band Lo & Behold. She has also released two original albums\, Have I Told You Lately? and bloom. \n\n\n\nJoining her are guitarist Baynayah McConnell\, trumpeter Aman Cowell\, drummer Chris Nichols and pianist Ryan Smith — accomplished local musicians whose collective credits span jazz\, soul\, funk\, orchestral music and collaborations with artists throughout Northern California. \n\n\n\nCome early\, grab a bite from the food truck and enjoy live music on the patio before the show. Part of Wildcat Weekend and sponsored by the Chico State Alumni Association\, it’s a lively way to kick off the night with great local music\, good food and plenty of Wildcat spirit.
