The Mavericks have created a musical paella with their recent album En Español, which debuted on the Billboard charts at number one. En Español flips the band’s usual fusion formula by adding a striking assortment of genres including salsa, ska, norteño, and mariachi to its sturdy rock-country base. Their sound is now solidly Latin, colored with streaks of irreverent rock and guitar twang, all branded with that unmistakable Mavericks style.
