Chico Performances’ new Chico Voices virtual series, supports and highlights local talent.
The next streaming concert event showcases talented Chico funkband, Smokey the Groove. They have created a dancing journey that has been showing up all over the Pacific North West and beyond. This 6-piece group of freaks has an infectious lighthearted sound with a full horn section, jazzy guitar, heavy bass, and emotionally powerful drumming
Smokey the Groove’s Chico Voices premiere is at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 5. If you can’t make the premiere, the concert event will be available on demand through April 5 for a 48-hour rental.
During the concert event, Chico News & Reviews’ Jason Cassidy joins Smokey the Groove on stage for a conversation that gives us a glimpse behind the music.
