Robert Pinsky, the 39th U.S. Poet Laureate, has created an intimate evening of poetry and music with Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist, composer, and arranger Laurence Hobgood. Poemjazz intertwines language and instrument, emphasizing the physical and melodic qualities of voice as well as the way jazz improvisation can sometimes seem to speak a language all its own.
