“Kick back and take in some great blues Westside musicians.” - Meetup
Taj Mahal began his career playing in Los Angeles some 50 years ago with the likes of Ry Cooder, Jessie Lee Kincaid, and Don Was. Since then he has been a blues ambassador, taking his music around the world, infusing and reshaping the blues with the sounds from the cultures he visits. The two-time Grammy winner spends his time of late jamming with friends, including the Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan, and Van Morrison.
John Hiatt is a singer-songwriter extraordinaire. His songs have been recorded and performed by dozens of artists including Bonnie Raitt, Emmy Lou Harris, and Rosanne Cash, and his Riding With the King was the title track from the B.B. King-Eric Clapton duet album. His style has been described as a rock-country-blues fusion and has garnered him a star on the Nashville Walk of Fame.
