Chico World Music Festival

Hosting music on 4 stages, this free event is an annual Chico State tradition. As in years past, the outdoor main stage will feature a wide range of world music artists; along with the majestic Laxson Auditorium. The Ruth Rowland Taylor stage will once again be featured as a workshop stage, and the ever–popular Kids Stage will highlight the wonderful talent of the North State's children.

Arjun Verma is a sitarist trained by the legendary Maestro Ali Akbar Khan. Arjun’s playing incorporates musical elements drawn from his long apprenticeship with his father, Roop Verma. The combination of these influences results in a style encompassing the deeply contemplative as well as the exciting aspects of Indian Music.
